According to a Prince George’s County Fire and EMS tweet, the accident happened around 1 a.m. on northbound BW Parkway (Highway 295) before Beaver Dam Road in Beltsville, Maryland.

The police and firefighters responded to the scene where they found several people trapped in a flipped over SUV. Two of the people were pronounced dead at the scene. Two others were injured and transported to a local hospital. One woman had life-threatening injuries and another had serious but not life-threatening, firefighters said.

So far the police haven’t identified anyone involved in the Prince George County crash.

Prince George’s County firefighters said United States Park Police are investigating the accident to determine the cause.

When an accident happens the first thing to do is try to get out of the vehicle if you can. Check if you’re injured and then see if anyone else involved in the crash needs medical help. Call the police and wait for them to arrive.

It’s important to stay at the scene. If you were injured in an accident caused by another party (no matter the reason) be sure to hire a car accident attorney who will guide you into the process. Dealing with insurance companies, and maybe even courts (if the case gets there) can be stressful and overwhelming.

Your attorney knows what to do. Trust them and allow them to guide you. Getting the compensation claim after the accident it’s what matters to you the most. All the medical bills, lost wages and other fees you have to pay after the accident can be a real budget burden.
