A stolen SUV in Maryland had its owner take a 100-200 yard trip on the hood of the car in an attempt to stop a carjacking.  The accident happened in Gaithersburg on Wednesday afternoon, the police said. According to Shiera Goff, a spokeswoman for the Montgomery County Police Department, the man got his injuries when he fell from the SUV. The doctors expect him to survive, Goff said.

The police got a call about 3:30 p.m. to what they originally thought was a car accident including a pedestrian in the area of Whetstone Glen Street. But, the accident turned out to be a stolen SUV in Maryland. The crime happened in the car owner’s neighborhood. The man jumped on the hood of his vehicle while it was being stolen, Goff said. He was trying to stop the thieves, but they drove off.

The police are looking for two people, one who drove off in the man’s car a black Lexus SUV and another one who left in the car the two arrived in which the police said it was a late-model gold Chevrolet Malibu.

If you got injured in an accident that happened because of someone else’s fault, once you get medical help make sure to talk to a car accident attorney. You may be entitled to a compensation claim for your injuries, damages and pain and suffering.

This claim will cover your medical bills, lost wages, trauma, potential future earning loss and so on. In case you get permanent disability, your attorney will suggest seeking a settlement for that thing as well. Make sure to have an attorney by your side instead to seek the claim by yourself. You don’t want to risk the amount and accept the first offer.
